About the Blue Ringed Octopus

There are four species of Blue Ringed Octopuses known to us, and they all inhabit shallow waters and reefs in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. All four species are highly venomous, and can quite easily be identified by their iconic blue rings and yellowish skin. Their blue rings even shift color when the octopus feels threatened. Despite carrying enough venom to take down twelve average-sized grown men, the Blue-Ringed Octopus is very shy and is not at all aggressive towards humans.
