Out with the old, in with the new: Sprucing up my small business packaging

Last week I was down to my last lot of backing cards. Oh no! But also hurray!

I’ve had a fun packaging idea brewing for a while, and when I noticed my backing cards started to run out, I figured it was time to go for it.

I love my previous backing cards. They’re fun and colorful. But they do not have my logo on the front, which I think was a bit of a weird decision on my end.

For my new backing card designs I asked myself: what’s the essence of my brand? The answer: kawaii wildlife exploration!

So… I thought it would be cool if each backing card presents its enamel pin as an instant film photograph (I don’t think I’m allowed to use the P-word). But yay hurray, look:

I’m absolutely thrilled with how these cards came out. The pink ones have printed slightly off-centre, which is frustrating, but I still really love them.

Moving forwards, the cards will also have species labels on them! But fear not: if you want the cards without the species label, just write “No name labels, please” as a Note to Seller at checkout.
